No Man Above the Law
Well it was decided today that no man is above the law. Including you Mr. Roy Moore. You violated the very laws that you were sworn to uphold and you have been punished in the harshest way by being removed from office.
This decision is hardly the beginnings of a prohibition of public worship. And just so Roy Moore knows, not everyone worships the same God that he claims to be such a staunch follower of; not everyone is a self proclaimed Christian. This country may have been founded on the Christian religion but it was also founded on freedom. Freedom to choose who you worship and how you live. Roy Moore has forgotten that freedom as he so blatently has displayed in his actions and his remarks.
Moore has already stated that he may appeal the decision to the United States Supreme Court. I doubt the highest court of the land would intervene into this matter as they have already chosen not to intervene just over a week ago.
Roy Moore should just accept the consequences of his actions and simply move on. Become a preacher if you want to make a difference Mr. Moore. Don’t shove your religion down the throat of other citizens from the impartial benches of judgeships of this great state and nation.

.: The Poet :.
As an atheist I’m glad to see Moore gone. As a realist I can’t help but wonder how much it will do to tap into the as yet unexpressed political power of fundamentalists (most of whom did not vote in 2000) in the next election.
My own suspicions are grim but I sure hope I’m dead wrong.
