Angels in America
The long awaited theatrical version of ”Angels in America” makes its premiere this week. I’ve heard so much about this play/movie. I was first introduced to it through ”The Laramie Project” (another great play).
I should figure out what I’m doing in order to watch it as I don’t have HBO myself. I’m noticed others with the same predicament as well.
I suspect this movie will cause a great stir among people once it premieres. As one journalist has noted (thanks to The Tin Man for the quote):
The buzz for Angels began months ago apparently. I’m behind on the times I guess. One comment I ran across from January noticed that Al Pacino was cast for the part. Others have already been lucky enough to view Angels and present their thoughts. And still others are just simply not sure what to think yet about the adaptation of Angels.
I’m definitely looking forward to viewing the movie version. I might wish to have seen the play first but I haven’t had the opportunity as of yet. Maybe one day.

I had quite forgotten that Angels was about to air. Thank you for the reminder, I just ordered HBO at home to ensure I don’t miss it:

The play was powerful, moving and well-written, I’m looking forward to the adaptation.

I was so impressed that I put it back on my calendar for my New York trip the next year. I was able to catch a third viewing when it was performed at the ACT theater in Seattle. I have some doubts about how well it will transfer to the small screen but am quite eager to find out.

I’ve considered PriceLine’ing a room with HBO. That would work. I don’t know. We’ll see. Hopefully if I miss it, someone I know will have taped recorded it.
