Unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional - Part Two
“The decision to have a costume reveal at the end of my halftime show performance was made after final rehearsals… MTV was completely unaware of it. It was not my intention that it go as far as it did. I apologize to anyone offended ? including the audience, MTV, CBS and the NFL.” - Statement released by Janet just hours ago concerning the Super Bowl Halftime show. She admitted what 99% of the general population already knew. It was planned without the consent or knowledge of anyone at MTV, CBS or the NFL. Well DUH.
If the truth be known, Janet and Justin discussed the idea just minutes or hours prior to their “shocking” performance.
I’m sure we’ll hear even more since the FCC has launched an investigation into the “mishap”.

Unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional
So who hasn’t heard about the debacle that was the Super Bowl Halftime Show??
I certainly was surprised to see Justin Timberlake come popping out of the stage just as the show seemed to be winding down. But what surprised me even more was seeing Janet Jackson’s boob popping out. I wouldn’t put it past the two to have planned the whole event under the watchful eye of MTV and CBS without anyones consent or knowledge. The article of clothing appeared to be something that could easily be altered. I’ve read one report where Jackson was to be wearing a red teddy of sorts under the bustier. Well I guess she forgot that part of the outfit. Oops. She did it again. Everyone recalls her first foray into the questionable. Remember the cover of the “janet” album??? Oh yeah, you do.
And who’d have every thought that Ms. Jackson wore a “nipple shield”?? It’s pretty darn cool looking however. I’ve never seen anything like that before actually.
“I am sorry if anyone was offendded by the wardrobe malfunction during the Halftime perfornace of the Super Bowl. It was not intentional and is regrettable.” - Official remarks from Justin Timberlake issued after the game.
Sure it wasn’t planned Justin. You just did what millions of guys across the country have dreamed of doing.

Things just keep getting better
If you’re a true queen, you’ll know that title from somewhere.
And just how perfect was that date. I wish someone would do that for me. I would just simply melt in their arms.
And on a side note, just how cruel does Andra think these people are now??? And I’ve said it all along, get rid of Wes while you have the chance. I would much rather have seen Darren stay longer than Wes. I haven’t liked him from the beginning. And how was Sean for a surprise… I really thought I had him right but boy was I wrong.

Boy Meets Boy continues to amaze.
Well, yet another episode of Boy Meets Boy has come and gone. And yet again gay stereotypes seem to be blown out of the water. One of the guys who I would have sworn was gay turned out to be straight. And from the previews of episodes to come, one of the guys “plays” gay so well while some of the actual gay guys seem beyond straight.
I think this show is a very positive idea for the gay culture because it truly shows people that you can’t judge a book by its cover any longer.
You truly should get to know each and every person that you so desire to know before making any decisions about that person. You never know who you might pass up if you don’t.

Another gay friendly show.
Another Gay themed show hits the airwaves this week. I’m just kind of amazed and dumbfounded at how many “gay” shows are actually showing up on TV these days. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great. I love Queer Eye and I think Boy Meets Boy is actually good for the gay population as it shows just how inconspicuous we can be. No one truly knows who is and who isn’t.
I’ve included a small excerpt from a CNN story about the newest addition. Check it out if you like. Seems like it will be yet another interesting show.
And on a side note. I don’t think it’s any mistake on NBC’s part that they have finally figured out the amount of influence the gay population actually controls. It is afterall their network, Bravo, who has debuted two of the best new cable shows of the summer. And not to mention the roll that NBC stays on with Will and Grace and other queer friendly shows/characters.
Link to ”Gay Hollywood”
LOS ANGELES, California (AP)—Given television’s gay boomlet, filmmaker Jeremy Simmons’ concerns about his new documentary, “The AMC Project: Gay Hollywood,” appear misplaced.
“With a name like ‘Gay Hollywood,’ maybe not everyone will tune in,” Simmons said. “Which is kind of unfortunate, because I think it appeals to much more than gay people.”
Other gay-themed shows certainly have. “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” has done so well for Bravo that parent NBC has aired the makeover show once, plans to air another episode Thursday—and has arranged two “Tonight Show” appearances by the series’ gay stars (Thursday and Friday) in which they spiff up Jay Leno.

Another great night of TV
Tuesday nights are officially cool again. Between Boy Meets Boy and Queer Eye for the Straight Night, I don’t have to search for entertainment on Tuesdays. I’m so glad to see some good gay reality shows now. I’m so sick of Big Brother/Bachelor/Marry My Dad crap. (Although I must admit, I have gotten addicted to For Love or Money.)
I’ve actually been enjoying TV lately. I don’t know. I still think overall, the shows are going down hill. There are just a few that seem to stand out though I guess.
