Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

I’ve awaited this movie for a year now and finally it is upon us.

I braved the crowds and the weather to venture to a 12:01 am showing at the Rave Theater in Birmingham.

I was simply awed by the movie.  It stood up to all expectations and then some.  For someone who has never read the books in whole, I don’t have as thorough a knowledge of what parts were altered or left out so I think I enjoyed the trilogy a little more than some.

Now, I can’t wait for the DVD release of Return of the King.  I’m sure there will be plenty of bonus features just as there has been on Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers.  On another note, I’m sure there will be some Trilogy special edition as well (which I’ll have to buy I’m sure).
